International Women´s Day in Africa: Ogadeni Women Lead the Struggle for National Independence
The role the Ogadeni women in the struggle for national liberation from the barbaric control of the Amhara and Tigray Monophysitic (Tewahedo) Abyssinians proved to be critically important.
Ogaden will be liberated from the Amhara – Tigray cannibalism due to 50% - 50% contribution of women and men to the epic fight that brings an entire nation in frontal battle against Africa´s cruellest and most inhuman tyranny, backed by the corrupt, pseudo-democratic and absolutely inhumane EU / US plutocrats.
In an earlier article published before almost a month, I focused on a particular example of the Ogadeni resistance, Ms. Bisharo Wa´di Shaqlane, a well known female Ogadeni Somali political activist who has been extradited to Abyssinia by the shameful, dictatorial regime of Somaliland.
Back in 2008, in another article, I introduced the former Secretary of State Condi Rice to two heroic Ogadeni women who should have been invited at the Women´s Conference 2008.
On the occasion of the International Women´s Day, the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) issued a press release in honour of the Ogadeni women.
I believe I offer to the rest of the world an excellent prototype of cultural integrity, spiritual strength, national steadfastness, personal potency, and human respectability, whenever I refer to those heroic women from Jigjiga, Warder, Kebri Dahar, Gode and so many other places, who entrust their young children to their grandparents and, ignoring the whereabouts and the destiny of their imprisoned husbands, join the ONLF forces in the already free mountains of Ogaden.
I therefore republish excerpts from the previous articles, the integral text of the ONLF press release, and a piece of news about the most recent atrocities perpetrated in Ogaden by Meles Zenawi´s tribal thugs and gangsters who impersonate the so-called national army of Abyssinia.
Refoulement Practices by Hargeisa´s Tyrants Make it Sure that Somaliland Will Never Be Recognized
http://www.losangeleschronicle.com/articles/view/142212
Bisharo Wa´di Shaqlane (in Somali: Bishaaro Wacdi Shaqlane) is a well known female Ogadeni Somali political activist whose political significance grew over the years as she successfully engaged in a sociopolitical struggle to prevent the radicalization of the long tyrannized Ogadeni society. Calling for Ogaden´s National Independence and Human Dignity, she firmly closed Ogaden´s door to the Shabaab of South Somalia.
As the Somali – Abyssinian borderline is porous and many Ogadenis cross onto parts of Somalia either in the South or in the area of the illegal pseudo-states Puntland and Somaliland, the alliance between Somaliland´s ruling Mafia and the Tigray / Amhara – led tyranny of Abyssinia further worsens the troubles of the oppressed nations of the region who happen to live in deplorable conditions of Human Rights´ violations.
If we take into consideration Somaliland´s ruling Mafia´s practices, it is not odd that Ms. Bisharo Wa´di Shaqlane was reported as extradited to Abyssinia a few days ago. However, if we take into account Somaliland´s ruling Mafia´s efforts to achieve international recognition, even by just few marginal states, we can safely claim that Hargeisa´s gangsters either act irrationally against their own interests or are already absolutely sure that they will never be recognized even by one pariah state.
The repeated practice of refoulement by the illegitimate authorities of the illegal state Somaliland only adds perjury to treason. Acting like this, the Anti-Somali authorities of Hargeisa make it sure that they will never be recognized by any state in the world, either peace prevails in Somalia or not.
Ardo and Saafi Labafidhin: Two Ladies Condi Rice Failed to Meet at the Women´s Conference 2008
http://www.californiachronicle.com/articles/view/79393
A while back, an annual conference brought together in Long Beach, California several influential women, involving Secretary Condoleezza Rice, Indra K. Nooyi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, PepsiCo and Campbell Brown, News Anchor, CNN. In a kind of roundtable, they all expressed their remarks on women´s socio-economic situation and conditions of personal and professional life.
For those interested in delving into the event´s details, a visit to the website is necessary (http://cms.californiawomen.org/the-womens-conference/).
For those wishing to read the exchange of ideas, pleasantries, arrogant visions of their social circles, elitist self-indulgence and monumental egotism, a fast reading of the compliments exchanged among all these unrepresentative ladies under the title ´Remarks at The Women´s Conference 2008´ is optional.
Finally, for those wishing to get an insightful into the troubles of the real women of our times, the painful life experienced by unknown heroines of our days, I suggest you to meet two ladies whom Condi Rice failed to meet at the Women´s Conference 2008, namely Saafi Labafidhin and Ardo.
Both ladies are real, Ogadeni women who have been exposed to life adversities, harsh conditions of daily life, painful experience, cruel and inhuman tyranny.
Saafi Labafidhin is one of Ogaden´s foremost intellectuals who managed to acquire a strong background in Humanities while crossing restrictions, persecution and adversities; she constantly publishes insightful articles that help the entire world better understand the tragic conditions of life that prevail in Ogaden because of the present US administration´s acceptance and promotion of the racist Abyssinian administration.
Saafi Labafidhin is a different intellectual; in striking contrast with Condoleezza Rice´s pompous narcissism and vain superciliousness, Saafi Labafidhin does not mention Madeleine Albright´s father among her instructors. She does better; she leans over the real life of the tyrannized Ogadeni villages, she revivifies the Ogadeni villagers´ dramas, and she initiates us into the greatness of the Ogadeni Soul.
In one of her recent contributions, Saafi Labafidhin dedicated an entire article to Ardo; I republish here Saafi Labafidhin´s article on Ardo because before all the rest, Ardo should have been present the at the Women´s Conference 2008.
Ardo is the Ogaden 2008 ´Mutter Courage´ as Bertold Brecht would have nominated her. Ardo is as hapless as Electra, as sacrificial as Iphigeneia, and as perseverant as Chrysothemis, if we refer to Greek Tragedy.

Woyane Militia Continues Destroying Ogaden Towns
http://www.ogaden.com/hornnews/ethiopia/696--woyane-militia-continues-destroying-ogaden-towns-.html
Sunday, 7 March 2010
Reports reaching our service desk indicate that Ethiopian militiamen based around the towns of Dig, Jarar Province and Fardhiig, Qorahay province destroyed the most houses of the two towns and the property within it. This illegal action happened on February 2nd and February 20th 2010 respectively. It has been reported that Ethiopian militia forces encircled the towns and firebombed a gas or petrol station located within one of the most populated sections of the towns. The fire then engulfed most of the town´s dwellings as most of these structures are made of flammable wood. According to our reporters in and around the town of Dig, so far more than ten houses have been destroyed. Most of the Fardhiig town´s inhabitants who have been barred from rescuing anything from the fire are reported to have been arrested.
Confidential sources interviewed by our reporters confirm that the civilians are still languishing in hastily constructed structures used as mass detention centers by the Tigray Militias. Radio Freedom and Ogaden Online staffers are still collecting the names of the people detained in these detention centers for displaced persons. We can report that the following names are part of the confirmed lists of people detained and not charged by the militia forces in Fardhiig, Qorahay Province:
1. Zahra Cabdiraxman
2. Samsam Mukhtar Sheekh Maxamud
3. Kowsar maxamed Siyaad
4. Ayaan Maxamed Xaajii
5. Cadde Axmed
6. Iid Cabdi Mahdii
7. Cabdullahi Axme Mataan
8. Cabdiraxman Cabdi Guure
A very well respected political observer of the Horn of Africa region whom we have had discussions with in order to get an understanding of the significance of these mass detention of civilians and destruction of towns and hamlets told us that these actions paint the picture of a regime pushing the panic button
especially in light of the recent losses in the battleground with Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) forces.
